I don’t want David to feel alone because it happened to me as well and probably to a good many of you reading this story. But after we take home that first jewel and find that no amount of money or labor will save it, we separate the casual rodder from the hard core die-hards who will learn from the first mistake and jump right back in with a little more knowledge and find another project we can actually handle. Building an early style hot rod had long been a dream for David Cassel, and after his first project turned out to be a nightmare he kept looking until a more suitable basis for his project became available and without a minute of hesitation he hooked up his trailer in Fort Worth, Texas and headed for Fresno, California.
